Condition details
Private stay: Each suite is booked exclusively for one group — no other guests share the machiya during your stay. No communal or shared spaces of any kind. Private bath: Most suites (Kokyu, Kinsho, Biwa, Sangen) include both a private open-air rotenburo and an indoor Japanese hinoki wooden bath facing the garden. The Niko suite has an open-air rotenburo only. Meals: Optional kaiseki breakfast and dinner can be arranged in advance and delivered in-suite. No on-site restaurant or communal dining.
Access
7-minute walk from Karasumaoike Station (Kyoto Municipal Subway Karasuma Line). Exit 3 or Exit 2 has elevator access to street level. Approximately 15 minutes by taxi from Kyoto Station. No on-site parking; coin parking available nearby. Traditional machiya architecture may include internal stairs — not recommended for guests with significant mobility limitations.
Luggage
Complimentary luggage storage available. Staff can assist with Tebura-kun luggage delivery service for transfers to and from nearby drop-off points.
Kitchen
Each suite includes a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, and oven. A cooktop (IH or gas) has not been confirmed — guests planning to cook full meals should verify with the property before booking. In-suite kaiseki meal delivery is available as an alternative.
