Dog-owning travelers visiting Arashiyama who want the most permissive pet policy in the DB — no size limit, multiple dogs welcome, cats too. Walking distance from Kyoto's most iconic natural scenery with deep soaking baths waiting after a day of sightseeing.

Pet-friendly rooms are specific designated types — NOT all 23 units permit pets. When booking, explicitly request a pet-friendly room. Standard Room, Theater Room, and Cyclist Room do NOT allow pets. After booking, submit pet information and vaccination certificate via the 'Pet Accompaniment Contact Form' on the official website before arrival. Pet diapers are required inside the building — bring your own or confirm with the property if they are provided. For the 3rd dog or 2nd cat and beyond, an additional fee applies — confirm current rates with the property. The kitchenette has a microwave and refrigerator but no stovetop — full cooking is not possible. Some guests report inconsistency in available cutlery and dishes by room type — confirm kitchenware availability with the property if you plan to use the kitchen extensively. Pet fee discrepancy: the official local FAQ states ¥11,000/night, while the Ace Hotel chain-wide pet page, BringFido, Booking.com, and IKYU all cite ¥14,300/night. The higher figure (¥14,300) is more likely current — confirm the exact fee when booking. A damage deposit of ¥15,000 is collected at check-in and refunded at check-out. Dogs cannot be left alone without a cage, and guests must return within 2 hours. For dogs over 15kg or non-dog pets, contact Ace Hotel Kyoto directly to check — the FAQ says they will try to accommodate.
