Privacy Policy

What we collect

We use PostHog for analytics. It records which pages are viewed, the page you arrived from, your device type and browser, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. It also stores a randomly generated visitor ID in your browser using localStorage and a cookie, so repeat visits can be counted as one visitor rather than several.

Automatic capture is switched off. We do not record your clicks, keystrokes, or anything you type. We do not collect your name, address, or payment details anywhere on this site, because there is nothing here that asks for them.

Where it is processed

Analytics data is processed by PostHog on servers in the United States. The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server request logs including IP addresses for a limited period as part of operating and securing the service.

Newsletter and free downloads

Our email list and free planning samples are delivered through beehiiv. If you subscribe, you give your email address to beehiiv directly, and beehiiv processes it under its own privacy policy. We can see subscriber counts and whether emails were opened.

You can unsubscribe from any email we send, at any time, using the link in that email.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links are affiliate links, managed through Travelpayouts. When you click one, the destination service and Travelpayouts may set their own cookies to attribute a later booking. That happens on their systems, under their privacy policies, not ours.

We do not receive your name, email, booking details, or payment information from these partners. We see only aggregate click and commission counts.

Cookies

• Analytics: a randomly generated visitor ID, stored in localStorage and a cookie, used to count unique visitors.
• Affiliate partners: set on their side when you click an outbound affiliate link.
• We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run third-party ad networks on this site.
• You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings. The site works normally without them.

What we never do

• We do not sell or rent personal data.
• We do not buy visitor data or contact lists.
• We do not use automated systems to insert links or advertising into our pages.
• We do not share analytics data with accommodation providers.

Your choices

To opt out of analytics, block cookies or use your browser private mode. To leave the email list, use the unsubscribe link in any email. To ask what is held about you or to request deletion, email aedafiliate@gmail.com and we will respond.

Changes to this policy

If we add a service that collects something new, this page is updated before that service goes live, and the date at the top changes. There is no separate notification list for policy changes.
